PRP hair restoration is a non-surgical treatment that uses your own blood components to jump-start growth and repair on various parts of the body and skin, including the hair. By using PRP on the scalp and hair, this treatment can promote natural hair growth with organic products, straight from your own body. We start the treatment by drawing a small vial of your own blood. From here we place it in a centrifuge that spins the blood at high speeds to separate the different components.
At this point, your “blood” is separated into red blood cells and plasma. The plasma is separated and in turn, then injected into various areas among the scalp incorporating the growth factors in the plasma to jump-start the growth and healing process. The result? Thicker, healthier, organically grown hair.
A series of three treatments will be provided following proper consultation and assessment with our trained staff. Following each treatment, we will allow your body 4 weeks prior to any further treatment. This allows your body to heal and utilize the components of the injected PRP to then guide the next treatment session administration. This will allow your body to utilize the growth factors and utilize its own healing process to stimulate the hair follicles for optimal results. Though minimally invasive and requiring no downtime, it is normal to feel slight discomfort and redness at the injected areas- this resolves fully in 3-4 weeks with optimal results seen over 6-12 months with touch-ups recommended every 3-6 months.
