Similar to microblading- this semipermanent brow refining and enhancing technique utilizes a machine close in appearance to a tattoo needle with a single needle to deposit pigment into the skin using hundreds of tiny dots to create a “powder” like effect. With the skilled hand of our technicians, the powder technique can be administered in any part of the eyebrow with emphasis on thinning or sparse areas of hair.
The result? A light, but pronounced color that our specialists at Abilene Beauty Bus can control and tailor to your exact specifications. The powder brow technique is ideal for those with thin or little eyebrow hair as this is a more subtle technique allowing a fuller brow line without the evidence of striping or lines that microblading may provide.
Though a semi-permanent solution- powder brow technique is notorious for providing a natural, subtle fade due to the small administration and diffuse powder administration, making the time between applications more organic in appearance and less apparent that a touch up may be needed and prolonging the time between touch-ups as compared to microblading.
With a light, local anesthetic to ease discomfort, this process can be completed in mere hours with only slight redness that typically resolves within 24 hours. It is recommended to avoid harsh exfoliants and avoid rubbing the area while the “tattoo” is healing which occurs fully within 14 days. Over this 14 day period, the powder brow will shed and adjust lightly as the skin heals and the pigment is vested into the skin to reveal thicker, filled-in eyebrows.
