Our Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacial utilizes a laser to pinpoint poor skin pigmentation from sun damage, age, rosacea, or redness. The light passes through the skin altering the pigment and diminishing its appearance. This facial is great for skin on almost any area of the body including the face, neck, chest, back, arms, and legs. This facial is great for rewinding time and diminishing the signs of aging along with sunspots, freckles, sun damage, spider veins, redness, and rosacea
This laser forces the pigment causing the portion of the skin to heat up and is destroyed forcing pigmented areas to disperse with brown spots “rising” to the surface to flake off to reveal even skin tone and a brighter complexion. For this treatment, we will begin with a thorough skin cleanse to remove any makeup and oils. We will use a gel to protect your skin from the laser and enhance the laser’s effect while moving the laser across the treatment area. Though not considered painful, it can be uncomfortable, like a pinprick of a rubber band snapping across the skin. Typically lasting 20-30 minutes, this treatment can easily fit into a busy schedule! After treatments, results will be seen in a 7 to 10 days period. It is important to maintain proper sun protection with SPF and covering the treated skin from direct sunlight as sunburns can diminish results and decrease the longevity of this treatment.
